The ESG-C Course is delivered by Tivarri Limited. The course is the brainchild of Simon Ponsford, director of Tivarri Limited, and Lord Rupert Redesdale, member of the House of Lords and sustainability advocate.
Lord Rupert Redesdale
Rupert has been involved in carbon and sustainability for over 20 years. He Co-founded the All Party Parliamentary Climate Change Group in 2000 and has worked on the Climate Change Act and numerous pieces of environmental legislation since then. He founded and ran the Energy Managers Association for ten years and created and Chaired EMEX, the Energy Managers Exhibition at Excel.
Simon Ponsford
Simon is CEO of Tivarri with wide-ranging responsibilities including product strategy and sustainability. Simon trained as an Environmental Scientist and has worked in multiple organisations spanning academia, corporations, and start-ups over the past three decades. In each, he has had a remit to create more sustainable solutions from the World’s lowest powered Windows PC in 2008, addressing COP 18 in 2012 on how to understand carbon impact at an individual customer level within Cloud computing environments. Since 2015, Simon has focused on the environmental impact of cloud computing, including a Carbon Calculator designed to help organisations understand their carbon emissions. Simon has been granted more than 50 patents, all with computing efficiency in mind.
Jamie Wigley
Jamie is the course content author, and one of the voices on the podcasts. Her background is in digital education, obtaining a degree in Education from the University of Cambridge and having worked for three years as an ESL teacher for an EdTech company. She is an advocate for sustainability and social responsibility.
Rachael Eni
Rachael is an experienced content creator, editor, and proofreader. Her portfolio includes co-authorship of a book, contributions to five newspapers, as well as the editing and proofreading of six published books, five sustainability reports, and numerous articles. She is a sustainability enthusiast.
Henry Lyon
Henry hosts the podcasts along with Jamie. He studied Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge before training as an actor, with experience in educational voiceover for maths and science learning. He has a keen interest in the environment and has enjoyed learning about ESG throughout this process.
