How the Course Works

The aim of this course is to bring together all the disparate elements of ESG in one place. It will provide you with technical and legal knowledge about ESG that you can apply to your business or industry. By completing this course, you will become a qualified ESG-C Officer, registered with ESG-C – and, if affiliated with us, your trade body. 

The Course is spread across two phases:

Learning

The ESG-C Course is designed to suit all individuals. You can use these content elements however best suits your learning style and time frame. There are no compulsory elements or milestones to complete.

  • Articles - All the relevant content is contained within these articles. They provide an in-depth explanation of each aspect of ESG, as well as policy suggestions and reporting standards that can be applied to your business.
  • Presentations - Condensed summaries of each ESG topic.
  • Podcasts - Audio discussions of each ESG topic.
  • Quizzes - To test your own understanding of each ESG topic.

Application

In this section of the course, you will apply your new-found knowledge to practical issues in your business.

  • Risk Register - This is where you bring together the areas that are relevant to your business in one centralised document. The risk registers have been specially prepared to suit your trade body’s requirements. You can add and remove policies as is necessary for your business’s context.
  • Policy Templates - The templates present the policy suggestions from the written body. To complete the course, you must edit and submit at least four draft policy documents, according to your business’ specific context.
  • Interview - To become a qualified ESG-C Officer, you will be interviewed by two course supervisors to demonstrate your knowledge of ESG and its specific application to your business or industry.

Timeframe

Your interview must take place within 6 weeks of you starting the course.
